The delta loop is up

Dear Reader,

I have been able to put up my 10 meter delta loop on a wooden sledge, due to the cold weather I am unable to concrete in a metal pole to hold the aerial. So I am using a wooden aerial support instead as this can be built during a Swedish winter. Since putting up the aerial and connecting a cable to the shack I have been able to have contacts with a series of different people.

So far I have been chatting with German, French, Dutch and Italian stations. I have heard some americans, I am sure that I could have chatted with them if they had been free to chat with. At the time they were already busy talking to other people.

The process of putting up the aerial made me think of how normal cement (Ordinary Portland Cement [OPC]) sets too slowly, sadly I do not know where I can get the superfast setting geopolymer cement. Maybe with a fast setting geopolymer I would have time on a mild winter day to concrete in a metal pole, and have made the cement set before the frost gets it.

On the other hand if you want to stop cement setting then one of the best chemicals for stopping the setting of cement is table sugar (sucrose).
